Jayme and Donte's wedding

This is Donte and Jayme... and their absolutely beautiful wedding!

The bride getting herself ready... and the groom & family anxiously awaiting for the big event to start...

This was the scenic background of the ceremony... and now to begin:

Mom and I began the walk...

Then came the bridesmaids (Keri and Sarah), the groom and his best men (Erik and Jordon)....

Then dad gives her away....

they do the unity sand (similar to the unity candle)....

Then they finish their vows, and walk back as Mr. and Mrs. Donte Dawson....

Such a beautiful bride!!! :)

The bride and groom's table w/their special green glasses they bought for this occasion.. from Epcot! :) (notice the bride and groom duckies (on R pic) ;) )

This is the reception area... (the same setup for tables on this side of the dance floor)
and the center pieces... each table was named with a Bear species... (there are 7, if i remember right...) and there were 9 tables and so #8 was called the Koala bear ;) and the bride and groom's table was the SUGAR bear (of course) ;) :) :) :) (lol)

then Jayme and Donte have their first dance as man and wife...

The girls give a speech and remind Jayme how she had always said that she wasn't EVER going to get married or leave home... that she was going to stay and take care of mommy and daddy all her life!! Then, she met this 'pale lil boy' (Sarah's words... and that is why Jayme and Donte are laughing) who happened to live down the street... and how touching it was to her that he just accepted everything that had/has transpired in and with our family and was just always 'there'... :)

Then I prayed for the food (per Jayme's request), and we ate supper (which when you RSVPed, you were to choose between 2 meals) which were either prime rib with baked potato and veggies or Chicken Penne in a red sauce and veggies....

Then after the meal, the DJ gave the 'second' dance to the father of the bride... and then opened the dance floor for the remainder of the evening...

Jayme then used the mic to rally up all the single ladies so she could throw the bouquet... and then she went 'searching' for those who weren't 'listening' to her 'call' ;) :)
... then she threw it ... and the winner was:

Jenni - she works with Sarah at SB :)

THEN COMES THE MEN'S TURN!!! :) :) :)






Donte told the DJ (Ben)(bttm R pic) that he had forgotten to have a song for this part of the wedding, and he said just go with it, and i will follow you... and so Ben then announced that Donte was going to attempt to do something he had never 'done' before... and wondered if he would 'succeed'... and then he started the song "Bad to the bone" and Donte walked around her at first and threw up his hands in 'mime' as if to say he didn't know 'what' to do... and then he stripped his jacket (as the song progressed w/excitement) and threw it on the floor and walked around her again and then got on the floor and 'peeked' under and then went 'in for the kill' ;) and retrieved the garder with his teeth!! LOL and THEN... LOL he lifted it high and then the Star Wars theme song began to play...announcing 'victory!!'... :) haha and he pranced around a bit with it... and then they gathered all the single men up... and he flung the garder....







The very cool thing.. (??) was that the 'winner' of the garder was actually Jenni's 'real' boyfriend!! haha! :) :) :) :)

It was funny, this is Jarrett in the pic with Jayme and Donte.. and he was Jayme's very first best friend (he's also gay) but anyway, and so they were dancing and having a 'ball' and I think Donte was getting a little jealous that they were having a little tooo much fun... and came to 'rescue' his bride from this 'fellow'... ;)

oh, and one thing I loved... was that Donte went and got mom and danced with her...that was absolutely the most sweetest thing he could have done!! it touched my heart so much!!! :')

Now, the CAKE! :) :)

Ben (the DJ) encouraged Donte that this was his 'chance' to really 'get' Jayme, if he wanted to... but he ever so sweetly gave her the piece of cake... and she 'him'... :) it was so cute. :)

and i LOVED these pics.... SOOO CUTE!!! :) the lil duckies and then Jayme and Donte made build-a-bear's... it was someone's wedding gift to them... but 'they' got to 'build' them... :)

and OF COURSE another BEAUTIFUL PIC of the bride and groom :) :) to 'end' with :) :) :) truly hope it WILL be a VERY happy ENDING... as in HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!! <3 <3 <3
